Teresa was "discovered" shopping in Auckland, New Zealand when she was 14 with her mother and met her mother agent- Sara Tetro of 62 models and New Zealand Next Top Model. She started modelling in High School in her spare time and soon was shooting magazine editorials, campaigns and TV commercials. Several scouts from Australia, Europe and the USA came to New Zealand and met her at 62 convincing the very studious Teresa to travel during school holidays. After a one month trip to the USA Teresa was one of the top new faces at her agency and decided to "try it out for a year". Her career has been steadily successful and Teresa is grateful as so many girls last only a season. Teresa sees modelling as a "scholarship" enabling her to travel around the world, meet inspiring people and learn more about fashion and beauty. She was a science and math major at her high school- Orewa College and enjoyed performing arts. After modelling (or at a later stage of modelling- since models have longer careers these days) she would like to start a company in the Beauty industry and work for Womens Rights and Children charities.
